Our "hush" motors will run quietly so you can hear the sounds of the surrounding waters and wildlife. While fishing look up to see majestic bald eagles, ruffled grouse, ravens, ducks, Canada Geese, Snow Geese, and, of course, hear the fierce call of the magnificent loon.

The peaceful way of fishing and drifting makes a fishing adventure the ideal way to commune with nature, up close - and also places our guests in close proximity of other wilderness native species. Have a moose swimming behind you and follow you as you make your way over the calm waters. Even more impressive are the wolves and beavers that you will encounter along the way.

Consider it - only minutes from the lodge you can view Black bears, the more common of the species catching fish and playing with their cubs. You can also take advantage of a very rare opportunity - view a Cinnamon, Chocolate or Blonde bear in their natural habitat.

Ena Lake holds a special treat for hiking enthusiasts. The pristine lake holds hundreds of islands with deserted beaches and shorelines, ripe for exploring. We will give you a map if you wish to venture out on your own by boat or canoe or one of our experienced guides will be happy to show you around. Head for the hills - but don't be late, we serve gourmet appetizers at sundown.
